Visual Memories Michelle Warren
It is an interesting thing that happens with our memories. They just don’t work as well as we think they do. Consider the courtroom … two eyewitnesses are almost worse than one, because their recollection of events will almost surely differ. And, so it is with our weddings and receptions. Without photographs and video images, we would lose the essence of the event. It would be soon swallowed up in the vast sea of memory that we cherish and try to store safely. But, in time, the images in our memories become not the “real” thing, but the captured images we hold in our hands or view on screens. Cameron Ingalls
Without photography and videography, we would soon lose most of those wonderful scenes. We’d only recall them vividly when we catch a whiff of a certain fragrance or hear music we associate with the good times. So, photography and videography, the best you can afford, are the best investments you can make in remembering your life-changing day. It’s almost all digital now, with very few still photographers using film exclusively, and some shooting film in one camera, just because they can. Video, of course, is digital. It has made for smaller equipment, easier and better editing, and putting it all on DVDs instead of tape. The digital revolution has made your wedding more memorable. Wonderful!
