Have you visited a Bridal Fair yet? If not, you’re in for a treat! As you can see in the photos of the CCWP Faire, the people are friendly; the displays are pretty! You’ll find on the Central Coast every service to be found in larger cities, and the quality of many of them will rival those in metro areas. You might wonder how is the best way to &rldquo;work” a bridal show. Here are some tips we’ve discovered through the years, and they apply any wedding fair or show you attend. 1 Be there when the show opens! You might find a long line in front of you if you’re just “on time,” especially when the show’s promoters have offered special prizes to earlybirds. Being there early will also give you more time to talk with those you really need to talk with. It’s easy to browse later, when the place is crowded. 2 Do you need to see the Fashion Show? Why see it if you’ve already selected your colors and styles? While other Brides are seeing the latest apparel, you can get some serious interview time with some of the professionals out on the show floor. 3 Bring a note pad and pens.If you don’t take notes that tell you who does what, you can trust your brain to confuse them! Was it “this florist” who offered a free boutonniere for every bridesmaid’s bouquet, or “that” one? If you’’re a quick artist, you can also sketch things you like. If not, try the next tip. 4 Bring a camera. You can take photos at bridal shows. It’s always best to ask for permission if you’re photographing a specific booth or display. 2007 BRIDAL FAIRS
These listings were researched in early December, 2007. At that time, all Fall fairs hadn’t yet been scheduled and some details for the fairs listed were not available. For more information, check the CCWP website Bridal Events page. http://www.ccwp.com/events.html Max and Dorothy Tuman
